Derrick Bransby

PhD Candidate in Health Policy (G3, Management)

Derrick studies how we learn, lead, and collaborate to execute complex work under uncertain circumstances. Currently, his research explores interpersonal and intergroup dynamics and the role of the material environment in shaping how we think and feel about collaboration. Broadly, his interests lie in ways of organizing that enhance teamwork in the pursuit of creativity and innovation. Before enrolling at Harvard, Derrick earned an MBA from the Johns Hopkins Carey Business School and a BS in Engineering (Industrial Engineering) from the University of Pittsburgh. He brings eight years of operations and management consulting experience to the doctoral program.
