Gabe Weinreb

PhD Candidate in Health Policy (G1, Management)

Gabe received a B.A. in math and economics from Wesleyan University in 2018. He worked for three years as a management consultant in McKinsey’s New York office; in the third year he was dedicated to McKinsey’s Center for US Health System Reform where he helped define the firm’s perspectives on policy issues including the 2020 US presidential election and COVID-era fiscal and regulatory policy. He spent the next two years as a research assistant in the Health Care Policy Department at Harvard Medical School, collaborating with Bruce Landon and Michael McWilliams on health services research and policy analysis. His main research interests are the role of health care providers in the broader social safety net and the approaches that provider managers use to influence physician behavior when they are accountable for their patients’ cost of care.
