[Jacob Jameson](https://jacobjameson.com/) graduated from the University of California at Santa Cruz with a B.A. in Economics and Mathematics and from the University of Chicago with an M.S. in Computational Analysis and Public Policy. Before graduate school, Jacob was middle school mathematics teacher and elementary mathematics curriculum developer for KIPP and Achievement First charter schools. At Harvard, Jacob is advised by Soroush Saghafian and Sue Goldie and works in the [Public Impact Analytics Science (PIAS) Lab](https://scholar.harvard.edu/saghafian/public-impact-analytics-science-lab-pias-lab-harvard). He is a Predoctoral Trainee in the T32 training program in Comparative Effectiveness Research for Suicide Prevention, funded by the U.S. National Institute of Mental Health. Jacob’s research focuses on machine learning and computational approaches to optimization and dynamic treatments in health decision-making. He currently works on projects with the PIAS Lab, Dana Farber Cancer Institute, Boston Children’s Hospital, Mayo Clinic, and Mass General Brigham.
