Armand Zimmerman

PhD Candidate in Health Policy (G1, Decision Sciences)

Armand Zimmerman earned a BS in Biological Sciences from the University of California, Santa Barbara and an MS in Global Health from Duke University. During his master’s program, he worked with the Global Emergency Medicine Innovation and Implementation Research Center to develop clinical decision support tools aimed at improving traumatic brain injury outcomes in Tanzania. After graduating, Armand joined the Center for Policy Impact in Global Health where he led economic evaluations of global health interventions and investment strategies. His work generated evidence to inform health policy and resource allocation for infectious and neglected tropical diseases, maternal health, health system strengthening, and R&D in low- and middle-income countries. His research has been published in journals including The Lancet, The Lancet Global Health, BMJ Global Health, and PLOS Global Public Health.
