Connie Xu

PhD Candidate in Health Policy (G5, Economics)

Connie Xu received her bachelor’s degrees in Economics and Statistics from the University of Chicago in 2019. Following graduation, she worked as a pre-doctoral research fellow for Professor Amy Finkelstein at MIT where she contributed to projects pertaining to the quality of care in post-acute settings and selection in insurance markets. Her current research lies at the intersection of labor and health economics, with a focus on innovation, the healthcare and life sciences workforce, and the economics of science. Her work in the PhD has been funded by the National Institute of Aging and the National Science Foundation.
