Cordelia Kwon

PhD Candidate in Health Policy (G1, Political Analysis)

Cordelia Kwon received a BA in Global Public Health and Anthropology from New York University in 2021. Following graduation, she worked as a Senior Policy Associate at J-PAL North America, supporting randomized evaluations of social policies and communicating study results to policymakers. Highlights included developing RCTs alongside Connecticut’s Department of Social Services and Franklin County, Ohio’s Department of Jobs and Family Services and synthesizing evidence on strategies to overcome administrative burdens in public health insurance. She then received an MPH with a concentration in Health Systems and Policy from Johns Hopkins University in 2025. There, she was recognized as a Sommer Scholar and a Hopkins Business of Health Initiative Graduate Fellow; and she received a capstone award for her work developing a training on causal inference methods for journalists. Her research interests lie at the intersection of social safety net, disability, and health policy, aiming to bolster social determinants of health for individuals with complex medical needs.
