Jacob Jameson

Jacob Jameson graduated from the University of California, Santa Cruz with a BA in Economics and Mathematics and from the University of Chicago with an MS in Computational Analysis and Public Policy. Before graduate school, he worked as a middle school mathematics teacher and elementary mathematics curriculum developer for KIPP and Achievement First charter schools.

Jacob’s research uses methods from causal inference, decision science, and machine learning to generate evidence that supports better decision-making in health care and public policy. His work focuses on physician decision-making, health care operations, precision medicine, and mental health services research. He is a Predoctoral Trainee in the NIMH-funded T32 Program in Comparative Effectiveness Research for Suicide Prevention and collaborates with researchers at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, Mayo Clinic, and Mass General Brigham.
