Jenna Rogers

PhD Candidate in Health Policy (G2, Decision Sciences)

Jenna Rogers graduated with University Honors from the University of Missouri – Columbia in 2022, earning a B.S. in Psychology and Statistics. As an undergraduate, she worked within the Quantitative Psychology Department for three years at the Medical Decision Research Lab, where she studied the psychological predictors of vaccination intention against COVID-19. Her work in this area won her the Lee B. Lusted Student Prize from the Society of Medical Decision Making in 2021. More recently, she has worked on refining microsimulation models for childhood cancer patients to quantify treatment tradeoffs between short- and long-term health outcomes. Jenna wishes to strengthen the ties between psychology and health policy by seeking a deeper understanding of patient preferences and increasing the evaluation of tradeoffs related to both mental and physical health. Her interests include decision heterogeneity, risk perception and communication, and patient-centered care.
