Kacey Fang
Kacey graduated from Yale College in 2019 with degrees in Cognitive Science and History. With the support of a Yale postgraduate fellowship, she conducted qualitative research on lived experiences of depression and suicidal behavior among psychiatric inpatients in China. This research formed the basis of her MSc at the University of Oxford. As a Fulbright research scholar, she then investigated gaps in mental healthcare delivery for refugees in Malaysia. Since starting as an MD-PhD student at Harvard Medical School in 2022, she has conducted research with Professor Ateev Mehrotra and Professor Haiden Huskamp on cost-sharing and telemental health utilization. She is broadly interested in mental health policy and innovations in healthcare delivery.
