Maximilian Pany is an MD-PhD candidate in health policy at Harvard/MIT. His research interests center on health system organization, medical decision-making, and the economics of care delivery. Max’s research uses tools from econometrics, biostatistics, and machine learning to understand the drivers of cost and quality in health care, with the aim of improving its equity and value. He previously worked at the Laboratory for Systems Medicine at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, the Wharton School, and the Leonard Davis Institute for Health Economics. Max received his B.A. in health economics and neuroscience from Swarthmore College.
