Tai Dinger

PhD Candidate in Health Policy (G3, Decision Sciences)

Tai Dinger graduated from Stanford University in 2019 with a BS in Biology and an MS in Management Science and Engineering. While at Stanford, he researched protein-folding in ALS (Lou Gehrig’s disease) and modeled patient flow at Stanford Children’s Hospital. Before coming to Harvard to begin his PhD, Tai was an engineer at Epic Systems, an Electronic Health Records company. While at Epic, he worked with hospitals to leverage insurance claims data for population health. Tai hopes to build on his industry knowledge by studying the role of risk at various levels of decision making in healthcare. Tai believes that understanding the risk attitudes of patients, providers and payers will lead to better decision models and better policy.
